PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY HITS DIFFERENT.

There is SO MUCH that goes into being a professional photographer who actually treats their clients well & runs their business well. Yes, professional photography can be expensive- but it is SO IMPORTANT to hire a professional. Why? Well, that's why I am writing this blog. Keep scrolling to see WHY it's so important to hire a professional.

1) THEY WONT LOSE YOUR PHOTOS

THIS IS HUGE. Losing photos is every photographers nightmare, which is why a pro will have a good backup system & your photos will never get lost. I have backups on backups. When I first started, I didn't realize the importance on backing images up to multiple hard drives, not deleting from the memory card until delivery, shooting on multiple cards, etc. Unfortunately, before I was a professional, I did lose photos. It's something a lot of new photographers have to learn the hard way- and your friend with a camera most likely doesn't have a backup system whatsoever! Losing those memories forever is heart wrenching, so don't take that risk!

2) TIMELY DELIVERY

A pro will have a workflow system to ensure that your photos are delivered on time. However, timely also means they are taking the time and care to make sure your gallery is perfect. There is kind of two ends of the spectrum here- on one hand a non-professional may take forever/never deliver your photos. On the other hand, you could get your photos back within a couple of days, but your gallery wont be edited properly, horizons wont be straightened, there won't be any intentional cropping to make your photos look cleaner.... I could go on. A professional will deliver your gallery in a timely manner, but it will also be an amount of time necessary to give the attention and care a professional gallery deserves.

3) A PRO CAN MASTER ANY LIGHTING SCENARIO

Especially on a wedding day, there will be lots of different lightning situations throughout the day. A pro will know how to use their gear in any lighting situation no matter what venue you are at. A pro will also be able to scout out locations quickly because of their expertise, and they will guide you throughout the day to make sure you are shooting in the best light to ensure your gallery looks flawless. Also, in a tricky lighting situation that cannot be helped (such as ceremony in full sun, etc) a pro will know what to do to make sure your wedding ceremony photos are still beautiful.

4) A PRO WILL HELP EVERYTHING FLOW BETTER

Whatever you are hiring them for, a pro will definitely help everything flow better. To planning your session, sending you a style guide, posing and directing you through the session- the experience is so much more elevated with a professional. For wedding days, a professional will offer expertise on your wedding day timeline to help your day flow better. A pro will help you stay on time with your timeline & will have organization in place to ensure everything is still captured and you stay stress free. Don't underestimate the value of that experience and expertise- it can truly make or break a wedding day or session!

5) A PRO WILL HAVE ALL THE GEAR THEY NEED

From backup batteries, to extra memory cards, to flashes for when its dark, to multiple lenses for different locations, to professional editing software for post processing- A pro knows what they are doing! I could go on & on. A pro truly has your back. We have invested years of education, hundreds of hours of practice, and thousands of dollars in gear to ensure you are satisfied. A professional loves their clients and loves what they do. You won't regret choosing a pro

I'll leave you with this:Your friend with a “nice camera” may know a few things, and it may be so generous and nice of them to offer: but you get what you pay for.

AND THATS THE TEA SIS. 👏🏼
