The Dreamiest Restoration Hotel Elopement

Amy and Chuck reached out to me in January 2022 about Eloping in Charleston in February. They wanted to get married on 2/22/22 and I was all for it! I actually have a few other photographer friends who shot elopements on this same date! It is definitely a memorable anniversary date!

When they told me they had chosen the Restoration Hotel for their Elopement venue, I immediately knew that this would be a perfect day. The Restoration is stunning on the inside and out. It also has the perfect rooftop for sunset photos. I would say eloping here is definitely a 10/10!

We started the day with them helping each other get ready at the hotel, which was so sweet and intimate. I loved how he fasted up her dress, and she buttoned up his shirt. It was such a beautiful display of becoming each other's helper and teammate in marriage and I loved it.

After they were ready, we headed to a local bar for them to play pool- it is how they met and they are avid pool players. They wanted photos there to represent how their relationship began and it was so special. I am all about doing something fun and different on wedding day- so when they had this idea I was down!

Hampton park was our next destination for some bride and groom portraits. I love Hampton park because it is stunning and it is also in the heart of Downtown Charleston. It is the perfect spot to hop over to for some classic portraits with the Spanish moss that represent the low country so beautifully.

The Ceremony on the ground floor of the Restoration Hotel at the Port was perfect. The exposed brick and the natural light coming in made for a gorgeous combination. The details and the florals were amazing. They had a handful of their closest family members in attendance and it was so special.

We capped the night off with sunset photos on the rooftop of the Restoration and it was beautiful. Chuck and Amy looked so relaxed as newlyweds during their sunset portraits. They were so happy and the sunset was giving us all life. See the photos below to see what I mean!

Overall, this day was intimate, sweet, fun, stunning, and relaxed. I honestly couldn't ask for more on an Elopement day. I wish Amy and Chuck many many happy years together!

xoxo
